Aiden - when he first realized that the Easter Bunny had hidden Easter eggs throughout Nana Beth and Bobba Steve's backyard.

I SCORED SOME CANDY FROM THE EASTER BUNNY!!!
As soon as he found an egg, he'd open it, take out the treat inside, and stuff it in his mouth or in his pocked. He reminded me of a chipmunk finding and hording nuts.
Sky didn't really care much for the egg hunt. She'd simply go to Aiden for a bite of whatever candy treat he had just taken out of a found egg and then she'd go back to playing with something else.
When Aiden noticed that Sky only had one egg in her basket, he immediately started to collect eggs for her. At the end, he had collected more eggs in her basket than his own....that gives me a lump in my throat.
Aiden's basket...as you can see, he collected far less eggs in his own basket.
Aiden..you're growing up too fast, can you slow it down a bit? He looks like such a little man! Esp in that first pic :)
ReplyDeleteThe hunt was very exciting. "I found one," follwed seconds later by, "I found 'nother one."
ReplyDeleteAiden, you shook each egg and if you heard the clink of coins you'd say, "This is a money egg," and throw it in the basket. Any other sound was the one you'd open immediately to find Tootsie rolls, Mary Janes or some other sweet treat.
With your good eyes you found eggs on the lawn, under leaves, in bushes, on the birdfeeder, in the woodpile. No egg was left behind on your quest.
Sky played with toys and every once in a while would run to you to see how you were doing. When you were finished you did indeed take the basket with the fewer eggs and let your sister have the lion's share. You made her smile and in accepting her basket she said, "Thank you, brudder."
There couldn't have been a better Easter egg hunt in the whole world or a more loving big brother.

Aiden Rossi, you are such a wonderful big brother. You are always looking out for your little sister and that is because you have been taught to respect your family members. You are one exceptional young man and Sky is one lucky little lady to have you for a brother. I know you had fun collecting all the Easter Eggs, but the greatest thing was that you shared everything with your sister.
