Nana Beth brought out Adam's old toys for Aiden and Sky to play with...how is it that these old toys are so much better than the toys you can buy at the store today? I'm not kidding. You can't buy toys like this if you tried. Well, at least not at Target...that's the only place I buy toys for the kids.
Nana Beth is a master when it comes to engaging kids in conversation or activity. She talks to kids in a way that is so calming, engaging, and encouraging that even 100 mph-Aiden calms down chills out. Aiden is like puddy in her hands. I'm not exactly sure how she does it but I think it has to do with her calm nature, her willingness to get down (physically) to the kid's level, and the earnest conversations she holds with kids.
Aiden loved the tractor, the bulldozer, the cement mixer, and the dump truck. He was paving a road, shoveling dirt, and digging holes...what fun!
Building roads is in his blood, people.
There was never any doubt in my mind that he would have building roads in his blood!! These pictures are a prime example of what a little boys mind can think of and plot and plan and play! Nana Beth knows the "MAGIC" to put those thoughts in motion and then set him free to go wherever it takes him. Your Nana Beth has that affect on adults too!!
