Why do grocery stores insist on torturing kids with the candy and gum at the check out counter?

ReplyDeleteAll of this occurs just after Easter with all the candy treats to tempt you. The grocery chains actually hire people to find out what product sells best on which shelf. Maybe that is what you will do when you grow up Aiden!! LOL!! I love your small grocery cart and I am sure that makes you feel like you could pick out what Mommy needs to buy-NOT!
ReplyDeleteDear Aiden,
ReplyDeleteMany of us have a sweet tooth, and in my case, I have a full set of sweet teeth. It is so difficult to walk past the candy counter. For years I keep trying to look the other way and not be tempted.
I remember those wonderful pictures your mom sent of you at the dentist. The dentisit was so pleased that you had the best and strongest teeth of any boy who had come to see him. The only way you can keep those teeth strong is with all the good fruits and vegetables you eat and brushing them so well.
Teeth don't line sweets all the time, just once in a while. So every time you pass that candy asile and not take anything your teeth and your dentist are VERY, VERY proud of you!
