Aiden starts negotiating on how many books we read to him in an evening well before bed.
Regardless of how many we settle on, he manages to slip a couple more in...or he'll ask us to "read it again", "and again", "and okay, jut one last time."
I think the sweetest thing is being asked to re-read a book and even more sweet is to look over and see them fighting sleep to hear just a few more words.
Instilling the love of reading makes me weep with joy.
Aiden, this comment is for YOUR DADDY! Always read as many times as asked to read a story because there will come a day when Aiden may not even give you the time of day! The bonds that you are building now, will last him forever and the next generation will benefit from your Great Parenting and Loving Skills. Thank You!
Can we ever read too many books to our children?
