aiden's dentist appointment

Not a peep out of the little man at the dentist's office today. The hygenist that cleaned Aiden's teeth was very thorough...that was very satisfying for me. I tend to obsess about teeth (just ask Adam) and I'm already obsessing over Aiden's teeth.

Aiden getting his first ever x-ray of his teeth. The dentist shared the x-rays with me and it was really cool to see his adult teeth (full sized!) behind his baby teeth.

  1. Aiden,

You are so brave in the dentist chair you amaze me.

Your Great-grandmother Weymer, my mom, was all about good dental care. Of her six children she insisted on putting braces on four of them who needs adjustments. That was in the day when braces were very expensive but she believed a good smile was worth the investment. Aunt Kathy and I had good teeth and didn't need them. I hope I was able to pass along to you the good teeth gene.

Unfortunately I ate too many sweets as a young girl and didn't brush as much as I should have so I got cavities. Darn it, I wish I had done a better job at that.

When I had children of my own I was more forceful about them taking good care of their teeth and brushing, brushing, brushing. Most of them today have good looking and well formed teeth.

That's what will happen to you too if you continue to take good care of them.

I'm very proud of you and good teeth make your smile BEAUTIFUL!!'

  2. Your Nana Beth is right, your SMILE is worth the time, money and effort to take good care of. Some day when you read all of these posts, you are going to wonder who I am, but believe me when I tell you, you have come from "Good Stock" on both sides of your families.
I know your Mommy was so proud of you going to the dentist and being so brave.!!
