the doctor looks in my ear

So we threw a small going-away-to-med-school-party for Molly. Both Aiden and Sky were super excited about having everyone over...especially my cousin's son Amir (8 years).

My cousins Yasi and Yosuf.

Sky dressed up for Molly's going away party.

Laila: Sky, we're having a party for Molly because she's going to become a doctor!

Sky: Why?

Laila: So that she can help sick people.

Sky: Yeah, doctor looks in my ear.

Laila: Maybe Molly can look in your ear.

Sky: No Mommy. I DON'T LIKE THAT.

Laila: Will you let Molly look in your ear?

Sky: Yeah, she nice to me.

Aiden showing off his talents.

Anytime two or more Nawroz cousins get together a football is tossed or a soccer ball is kicked. Like Aiden says, "it's just what we do."

Yosuf practicing his quarterbacking....I think he still plays for Oakton High School.

BJ Hunt was showing off his soccer skills. Too bad I was holding the camera or I would have shown BJ a few moves myself.

Hershal throwing a bullet to Timur.

This is the cake Aiden and I baked and decorated for Molly. We thought she could use a little help with anatomy.

My Aunt Zakia and my Grandma.

Sky stopped to take a picture with my Aunt Shawgul.

My Sky...the kid loves to wear a dress.

Aiden LOVES having people over at our house.

My Uncle Aman and Sky

My Uncle Akbar and Sky....yeah, she let each uncle and aunt pose with her for the camera.

Aiden loved having Amir over and was totally bummed when it was time for everyone to leave.

Elizabeth and Aiden

T and Aiden...Timur is getting ready for a big trip Spain, Italy, Portugal, Morroco, and whatever other country allows him over the boarder. The lucky, lucky dog!

Sky and Daddy....a match made in heaven

Check out the dudes....they are also known as the garage crew because they like to hang out there and have heavy discussions on business and politics. My Dad and my Uncle Haider were missed.

My Aunt Anne, cousins Elizabeth and Molly.

Uncle Caleb would you lick the icing off my fingers?

Molly holding her second cake...yup, that's her cake when she was a cute little girl.

  2. Such a warm and beautiful celebration of FAMILY! Most all of these relatives have those beautiful, warm Chocolate eyes, like your beautiful Mommy. It was so nice of your Mommy and Daddy to have such a great Celebration for Molly and an occasion to celebrate a young woman who is going to be a Doctor. Best Wishes, Molly! Your Family is fortunate to have you, Sky and Aiden!!!

  3. How does one person get to be so lucky?! A beautiful day, two fantastic cakes, two delicious cobblers, lots of great food and the best company a girl could want. Thank you, Sky and Aiden, for inviting us all over to party and for helping get the bike all ready! Next time I hope your Bobba and my Baba can come, too. Won't that be really fun?

Sky, you looked adorable in your sailor dress. Aiden, I can't believe how high you jumped from on the playground ladder! I got nervous watching you, but you weren't scared at all. Can't wait to see you two run circles around the big kids playing football and soccer. I bet it won't be long!

By the way, my fish are wondering when you're going to come see them again. What should I tell them?

    Love you guys!
