Aiden got a some of his wood free - scraps that the lumber department at Home Depot gave him.
The guy at Home Depot even cut some of the scraps for him...helps to be a polite little boy.
Aiden was drooling over the bigger (expensive) pieces.
Sky worked out some of the measurements and design on paper.
I love it when they work together cooperatively.
Aiden loves to hammer in the nails....Sky not so much.
This was a perfect exercise in taking measurements...would make his math teacher proud.
We gotta get the joints right the first time!
Phase 1 complete!
Aiden is sitting on a bench he built last spring...still in good condition. He and Sky plan to build two more benches so that She and Nicolas will sit comfortably too. The stump in the middle is their table...they want me to bring snack out to them while they play in their fort.
