The love...
I couldn't live without my computer. I use a computer for business and for pleasure. When a kid is sick, I research diagnosis and medications. I post to this blog several times a week. I buy educational toys and books for the kids. I look up recipes and fun activities for kids. I research vacation spots. I get my news and other peoples take on the news. I download music and I upload pictures. I keep in touch with family and friends using my computer. You know the list goes on...I can't even imagine where computing will be when Aiden and Sky are my age.
The hate...
When I'm in front of my computer my free time seems to evaporate away. The other night I sat down at the computer just to send ONE email and two hours later, I was still in front of the computure (by the way, the kids were sleeping!). And why is it that my computer only locks up when I'm in a hurry? How does it know I'm in a hurry??
Anyway...Aiden loves using the computer. He has a few alphabet and numbers video games he likes to play.
He's got his Starbucks coffee in the back ground and he's surfing the net.

Your Daddy was in 4th grade when he started doing this and here you are not even 4 years old. Wow!
Computers are amazing things and I ditto everything your mom said about them.
I began my writing on a good old-fashion typewriter and progressed to an electric typewriter and thought I was hot stuff. I vowed never to use a computer. I was afraid of them. When they came on the scene I had four children at home and I was too busy to learn. Your Babba Steve got me one anyway and I still rebeled but slowly I started to pick it up.
Now I use it everyday and LOVE writing on it. I would be totally lost without it and I go into withdrawal if I have to go a few days without writing.
Computers are addictive, but for me a good addiction!

ReplyDeleteI do look forward to the day that both Aiden and Sky can post to the blog. He started on the computer just looking at pictures. Then he moved on to simple video games - you know, sesame street type stuff. Now he likes to watch videos on YouTube - like cartoons and stuff.
Even Sky is starting to used the computer. She's not bad at using the mouse.
Um, so how does Adam feel about having a mini me?! haha, he looks exactly like his dad in this one.
ReplyDeleteAiden, I am sure you couldn't help yourself, since you were born into the family you were born into. The old saying "The apple doesn't fall far from the Tree" truly applies in your case. I would want to see all those soccer pictures too, if I were you. Children do not fear like adults do, so you GO!!!
