emergency art

This happens almost every single day after school....she comes home from school in a total rush.  Drops her backpack on the kitchen floor, throws her lunch box on the counter and then "Mom, I need to do something right now."  She rushes to the art station and grabs two  or three sheets of paper and the box of markers and without even sitting down starts to draw.  And then as quickly as it starts, it's over.  She only spends five or ten minutes drawing and then hands me her art, "this is for you, Mom" or "this is for Dad, don't let anyone touch it". Then she's off to grab her bike or her scooter to play in the driveway.

  1. When creativity is burning you need to let the flame escape. Gotta get the art out, protect it, and move on. I totally get it.

Sometimes I am lucky enough to receive one of these masterpieces and I save each and every one. Just love 'em!
