my mouth is not working

Last night while laying in bed reading, Sky interrupted me to tell me something about her day. She was so excited that every time she tried to form the words she stuttered. This went on for almost twenty or thirty seconds. Realizing that she needed to slow down a bit, she gently put the palm of her hand over her mouth and with a little smile she turned to face me and whispered "oh, my mouth not working".

What impressed me is that she never got frustrated with herself. She remained calm and graceful as she slowly put her hand over her mouth. And with humility and self awareness, she smiled at me and whispered "my mouth not working".

She is a remarkably confident little girl. I am impressed with her more and more every single day.
