Thanks Sharon. I was amazing. Adam and I went alone and the kids stayed home with my mom and our nanny. It was great for Adam and I to have some time alone.
We stayed in these "eco-tent" which is a basic tent but you have beds and some water. The water is heated by solar panels (though we never used the hot water). We had a very small fan at night that was also powered by the solar panels. The weather was very very hot and sticky. It was a great experience but definitely not for everyone. Sweating while sleeping is something that not everyone can put up with.
We spent our days hiking and snorkeling. We were able to find some amazing hidden beaches - what a treat to come upon a deserted beach after hiking five miles. The water was crystal clear. We found a huge colony of giant starfish. We saw and swam with sea turtle...quite the treat!
i dunno, i love the tree-house look of those tents! It's pretty cool that they had a kitchen inside, too. The reptilian beast is pretty wicked...looks big. Ah, everything is amazing... :P
I have heard and seen some gorgeous pictures of this place and all I can think is that it MUST BE LIKE PARADISE!!! So glad you got to go!
