This girl is amazing. She now tells me when she's tired, when she's hungry, when she needs to use the bathroom, and whatever else she needs. Yesterday she actually came to me and said "Mommy, let's go upstairs, I'm tired". Are you kidding me? I'm mean most kids her age would be tired and wouldn't know what to do about it. Not only does Sky know what to do to help herself but she can also communicate the idea perfectly.
Last weekend we went to my Aunt Anne's 60th birthday party in Annandale. Everyone was there and Aiden and Sky had a blast. Around 9:30 PM Sky started to get very tired so she kept saying "I wanna go home, Mommy. I'm tired." We finally collected all our things and by 10 pm we headed for the car. Aunts, uncles and cousins followed us to the car to goodbye and asking for "just one more kiss". When I buckled Sky into her seat her frustration and exhaustion got the best of her and she yelled out "close the door, Mommy!" When we got home I quickly changed her into her pajamas. Relieved to be in her pajamas she said "I'm so happy, Mommy."
Sky, you such are one smart cookie! You know your limits and aren't afraid to let everyone else know that you have had enough and you want to go home and sleep in your own bed. You are a girl after my own heart!

This is a girl who knows what she knows...maybe she takes after Bobba Steve. He's got to get his rest or he's a mess. Like clock work every night by about 8PM he's ready for bed. He used to sleep on the couch all evening and then get up at 11 PM to go to bed. Now, he sits in his chair and if he starts to doze off he picks himself up and goes to bed. So Sky, where ever you get the directive, know that it is very smart to go to bed when you are tired. Beauty sleep looks great on you.
