Fourth of July 2008

We had fairly low key 4th. Adam was at the office working so we didn't do much. I got both kids ready for bed (bath and pj's) and then we sat in the garage (it was kind of raining) while Dullah lit some fire works in our drive way. Aiden had a blast. With each crackling, colorful fountain he jumped up and down with excitement. Sky was very interested but also pretty frightened. She held on tight to Grandma or me and turned her face away...she couldn't resist a peak here and there.

  1. I am with Sky and being a little afraid of the fireworks. Isn't always the BOYS who enjoy blowing up stuff. Grampa Steve has a license to really blow up stuff!! I was fortunate enough to sit in front of my home and watch the fireworks go off at the Vinton War Memorial as they do every 4th of July! Stacie and I enjoy watching them from afar, right, Sky?!

  2. The 4th of July just isn't a celebration without the sparklers and fireworks and there you are Aiden right in the mix. Good for you!

I'm glad Bobba Rahmon, Grandma and Uncle Dulla were there with your Mommie to help you all celebrate. Sometime you need to ask your grandparents how important freedom is to them. They will have many stories to tell you and they will probably end each by saying, Freedom is one of the most important things we can have.
