aiden's dentist appointment

Not a peep out of the little man at the dentist's office today. The hygenist that cleaned Aiden's teeth was very thorough...that was very satisfying for me. I tend to obsess about teeth (just ask Adam) and I'm already obsessing over Aiden's teeth.


Aiden getting his first ever x-ray of his teeth. The dentist shared the x-rays with me and it was really cool to see his adult teeth (full sized!) behind his baby teeth.

Three years ago, I found this t-shirt. I loved it so much I bought one size 6 - 12 month and one size 4T. At the time, it seemed like 4T was a century away...and that just seems like yesterday to me now.


I sure like this little dude. He is a lot fun.


And he's tough too...


You can see that he's very comfortable with me taking his picture...he's been putting up with me taking pictures all the time for 3.5 years now.


He definitely has a soft spot for his little sister. Anytime he gets a treat or a new toy, he immediately shares it with her or will negotiate a second one for her.


As you can tell, I am very very proud of Aiden.

saturday morning farmers market

Going to the Saturday morning farmer's market is one of our favorite family activities. The farmer's market is located in Lake Anne where Platinum Solutions was headquartered eight years ago.


Our offices were right above this little cafe. Adam used to go down to the coffee shop every morning for his morning caffine. Thought it's under new management now, it's still great little coffee shop.

Aiden was playing in the mulch with his trucks. He was narrating in a deep and serious voice to himself as what the trucks were doing. I was eavesdropping.

"Banner, you need to come down here and flatten the road."

"Danner, you wait here. First we have to use a shovel."

"Oh man! There is a bug in our way."

"Banner! Be careful or you'll run over the bug."

"Digger, your supposed to be here. Park here!"

"Good job! Danner is doing all the work."

Nana Beth will love it

This morning we made a birthday presents for Nana Beth (her birthday is August 10th). Aiden and Sky each made her a colorful beaded necklace. They were both glowing with pride when the job was done.

Listen closely and you'll hear her say "Nana Beth will say I love it." The kid knows what makes her Nana Beth happy...

Sky enjoyed Aiden being in a Spiderman costume as much as Aiden enjoyed wearing the costume. Funny...she never asked to wear it but loves it on her brother.

Miss Sky had her "two year well check" on August 6th.

height - 36 inches (btw - Aiden is 39 inches)

As soon as the doctor walked into the examining room Sky said, "No. Doc. Tor! You. Don't. Touch. My. Ear!"

So we threw a small going-away-to-med-school-party for Molly. Both Aiden and Sky were super excited about having everyone over...especially my cousin's son Amir (8 years).

Laila: So that she can help sick people.

Sky: Yeah, she nice to me.

Anytime two or more Nawroz cousins get together a football is tossed or a soccer ball is kicked. Like Aiden says, "it's just what we do."

The other day, I told Aiden that I like being his Mommy. Apparently this made a big impression on him because he's brought it up several times, "You like being my Mommy?" then he smiles really really big. OF COURSE I like being your Mommy. It's only the COOLEST thing I've ever done!


Whatever Aiden does, Sky must do.




Loves to wear jerseys - soccer jersey, football, basketball, whatever...as long as it's a jersey, Aiden will wear it.


Sky is a very serious soccer player...she doesn't even smile when she's playing.
