A picnic lunch followed by a nice long walk in the park.
We climbed the ruins, walked over bridges, and climbed on huge rock formations.
It was a little chilly but perfect for a long walk in the woods.
Sky getting a little cardio in for the day.
I have a lot of great memories of Great Falls Park. In the late 80s my parents and their friends would have huge picnics there. I'd climb on the most dangerous of places without my parents knowledge...it's a wonder I never fell in the river.
What a wonderful place to walk and explore and find big rocks and big trees and big water. Even Nicolas came along on the adventure. We know know he loves to look at nature. He must have gotten an eyeful.
ReplyDeleteLaila, it great to have childhood memories of place and then share it years later with children of your own. You see the place again in a whole new light, and see the wonderment through their eyes.
Wonderful way to spend the first weekend in October. Family Fun Day for sure.
