celebrate fairfax - day 2

Waiting for the favorite "Spiderman" ride. The lines for this ride were deceptively long. First you wait outside the gates and then you wait again inside the gates. Both kids were hot but they remained patient and looked forward to their turns.

Sky all geared up and ready to be Spider-girl.

After waiting in the 95+ degree heat, the few minutes of wind blowing through her hair during the ride refreshed her for the next ride.

Aiden's "favorite-est" ride.

Aiden had no problem catching air.

Check me out, people!

Aiden getting serious air.

This is one of those rides that takes you up 50 feet and then drops.

No trip to the fair is complete without ice cream!

...oh and a giant prize...

Aiden throwing a ball to win a giant stuffed animal.

He won the Spiderman bat all by himself.

Sky scored herself a big blow-up Dora the Explorer doll all by herself....and a lift back to the car after a long, hot day at the fair.

  1. We are talking some serious ice cream here people. Delicious!

You both look so hot and tired but once you are strapped up and ready to fly you are both instantly COOL! What an exciting ride and what a fun way to spend a Sunday at the fair.

The other one where you are strapped in and then come slamming down is not for me...I would throw up. It wouldn't be a pretty sight.

That is the biggest Superman bat I've ever seen and you won it all by yourself Aiden...good for you!

Dora found a good home with you Sky. I would need Daddy to carry me back to the car too, that was a long, hot day for a 2 1/2-year-old lemme tell ya.

I'm glad you had such a good time. Mommy and Daddy know how to find all the fun things to do. They sure do love you!!!
