labor day weekend - in the water
Having a blast playing in the water...
No longer worried about the waves knocking him over
Looking back for the next "giant wave"
Next summer he'll be gliding past everyone on his skim board
True happiness...can be found on the beach.
Sky's turn to go into the water while his brother cheers her on.
Following in his daddy's footsteps
This one is a little difficult to explain...that's masking tape he's wearing over his eyes. Basically he thought it looked like something a superhero would have on their face so
Ahhh....Labor Day at the beach....the tourists are gone, the scotching heat and humidity is behind us, the beach is clean, and the kids are totally comfortable playing on the beach for hours at a time.
Little Sky...slightly feverish, achy and tired due to chicken pox. Despite not feeling well, she got in the water, played in the sand and chased her brother around. After an hour or two I took her inside, gave her a bath, powedered her up, put on comfy PJ's, gave her a cup of warm milk in her favorite Dora the Explorer sippy cup, and a dose of Children's Tylenol. We then read a few books, cuddled, and napped the afternoon away like lazy cats. We woke up to Aiden and Daddy making dinner for us. Life is good.

Dear Aiden,
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh look at you running in the water without a care in the world. Aiden, I'm so excited you and the ocean a friends. You are going to have some great times in that water lemme tell ya. Now we need to get Sky out there frolicking too. What a ball.
I love seeing pictures of you running because you look so natural and make running look effortless. God has given you the gift of speed and agility. There is no telling were these gifts will take you. Will you be the soccer, tennis, football, volleyball, rugby or track star? You will run with the wind and probably outdistance it.
It is great fun to see you have great fun.

Those gorgeous Blue Eyes really look bad when you are sick. I am so sorry that you weren't feeling well. I guess it is better to get all those old childhood cruddy things over before you start school. I just happen to this very day to have a "Chicken Pox SCAR" right in the center of my forehead and my Daddy used to tease me and say "I was shot in the head with a BB gun". I didn't like that! I wore bangs for years to cover up that ugly scar, now I am too old to care. I hope you didn't have any scars from you chicken pox.
