We had our "holiday card" picture taken professionally. It was a bit of an ordeal because as soon as one kid cooperated the other would resist. The shoot was at a daycare with lots of toys and animals so Aiden was way too busy to sit down for a picture. Sky was cooperative until she got too hot (the room was hot and her outfit was warm). We finally got the shot we were looking for and we were relieved to be done. When we got home, both kids were smiling and ready for more pictures. Wouldn't you know it. That's just my luck. So...I got my camera out and took these pictures.

I have some experience when it comes to family pictures, about 38 years worth. Every year since Steve and I have been married we've done a photo Christmas card. I love them. Friends have watched our family grow over the years; now we even include grandchildren. It's fun to watch the hairstyles and clothes change but the greatest gift is to know that at least once a year the whole family is all together and THAT is the blessing.
ReplyDeleteWe'd had photos with kids crying, a blur instead of a clear face, it doesn't matter. Keep up the good work and next year put Sky in a bikini and Aiden in swim trunks so they'll be ultra comfortable.
