happy father's day to the best daddy in the whole world
"I love Daddy from the stars, to the sun, to the moon, to Washington DC, to Spotty's house (Haena, Kauai), to the little house (Va Beach)." - Aiden
"I love Daddy 'cause 'cause he kisses me a lot." - Sky

celebrate fairfax - day 2
Waiting for the favorite "Spiderman" ride. The lines for this ride were deceptively long. First you wait outside the gates and then you wait again inside the gates. Both kids were hot but they remained patient and looked forward to their turns.
Sky all geared up and ready to be Spider-girl.
After waiting in the 95+ degree heat, the few minutes of wind blowing through her hair during the ride refreshed her for the next ride.
Aiden's "favorite-est" ride.
Aiden had no problem catching air.
Check me out, people!
Aiden getting serious air.
This is one of those rides that takes you up 50 feet and then drops.
No trip to the fair is complete without ice cream!
...oh and a giant prize...
Aiden throwing a ball to win a giant stuffed animal.
He won the Spiderman bat all by himself.
Sky scored herself a big blow-up Dora the Explorer doll all by herself....and a lift back to the car after a long, hot day at the fair.
sky's new friend Sandy

Sandy the cat lives down the street from us. We met him just this morning. He's very friendly but he took a special liking to Sky.

"Sandy loves me best." - Sky
"I think this is the cat I was thinking about yesterday when I was in bed." - Sky

"Sky leave her alone. I think she wants some privacy. She's peeing." - Aiden

celebrate fairfax - day 1 (part 2)
My little truck driver, Sky.
The tug boat is a fun ride that the whole family can ride together.
Our helicopter pilots...
Riding the bee
Another awesome ride (or whatever you call it) - the hamster wheel. I would have loved to try this one myself but I'd have quite an audience trying to do this while I'm eight and half months pregnant.
You could burn some serious calories on this hamster wheel.
The hamster wheel is tougher than it looks, people.
Aiden wants one of these hamster wheels for our pool.
The last ride of the day was a family ride - the giant Ferris wheel. Aiden makes me a little nervous on this ride.
The view from the top of the Ferris wheel.
celebrate fairfax - day 1 (part 1)
Aiden's first time on the bumper cars! He was a little taken back by this ride - "why are you supposed to hit other people?"
The mini-roller coaster!
Yahoooooooo Aiden!
"Sky! This is boring ride!"
Aiden launching himself...
Sky touches the sky.
Daddy, there is no such thing as a free ride.
