Canada Day 2

The CMH Lodge had a huge cozy living room with a crackling fire, deep comfy couches, good books and lots of snacks.

The entire group had breakfast, lunch and dinner together - family style.  Our guides, the helicopter pilot and even some of other lodge workers joined us for meals.

We set off on our first "adults only" hike.

The kids went off on a hike tailored to kids...focused more on fun.

We met the kids four hours later for a bbq lunch by a glacier.  The kids got there first and when our helicopter was landing, I could see Aiden and Sky having a blast.

Adam and our guide, Hans.

For lunch we hiked to this tarn (lake) next to a glacier.

We had family-style barbecue

  1. I loved being an armchair hiker on this trek, thank you. The views were fabulous, the flowers beautiful, the blood spot in the snow made it real, the shot of father & son, like Forrest Gump was so sweet. I even felt chilly every once in a while and had to shiver. Thank you for all the posts and letting us see something that most of us wouldn't otherwise see. Love, love, love it.

    :-)
