Adam and I arrived at the Esperanza Resort around 1 pm...our room wasn't ready so we decided to have lunch and some cocktails while we we for Ben and JoAnn to arrive.
We saw several whales in the distance...they were humpback whales and mostly a mother and her calf...training.
That's the Sea of Cortez...Los Cabo San Lucas is basically at the tip of the strip of land that's below California and west of mainland Mexico. From the right overlook, you can see the Sea of Cortez looking east and the open Pacific Ocean looking west.
Here's a decent view half of the resort from our lunch spot.
After we lunch, Adam and I walked around the resort to get a lay of the land. I had heard from a friend that this resort was tops....and I'd have to see, I think he was right. Esperaza was BEAUTIFUL and the service was VERY good.
JoAnn at sunset - the first evening.
On the second day, we went on a whale watching tour. We saw several whales, again, they were mother and calf. You could see the calf mimicking it's mother's moves.
After the whale watching tour, I met my new love - this little jaguar cub. I call him simply "Baby Jaguar".
tickle the belly
Scratch behind the ear...i think he like my technique...something I learned from Lynx and Jasper.
He made the cutest grunting play growling noises.
Baby Jaguar loves to wrestle
