sky learns to ride a bike

All ready to practice -- helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and lots and lots of willpower and heart....Mommy at her side.

It's official - you now know how to ride a bike without training wheels!  I'm so proud of you. You were determined to learn and you did it.   I love your face even more when you're happy and proud of yourself.  You are SUCH a cool girl.  And I am SUCH a fan.

While you were learning, I was holding your bike for a little support and running with you. I started to let go for a second, then I tried two or three seconds then it was five or ten seconds...now you can ride from one end of the street to the other....all over the course of a couple of days. This evening you rode all by yourself - and up hill too!

For the record - you were 5 years and 4 months old exactly when you learned how to ride a bike.   Sunday, November 11th at 5 pm....the day before Veterans Day.
