nick at st. mary's playgroup
This playgroup is his Thursday activity with Teresa. His friends are twins Aidan and Brenden, Even, Bosha, Joseph, Claire, and Anna.
Nick is the biggest boy (in size) of the group but he's the youngest. That's my BIG boy!
oh man, I love a good kabob
Oh man, my Bobba, my Kakas (mom's uncles), my mom's cousins, my dad, and my brother...we all LOVE eating kabobs...we just love it. Put it on the grill and we'll eat it up, man. We hang out by the grill and eat it as it come off the grill.

nick at wednesday swim practice
One day I'll be posting about his Olympic trails here....sigh
He loves his swim coach and she loves him...look at that trust! He swims with me on Saturdays and I have to admit, he looks more comfortable with the coach!
Teresa takes Nick to swim practice on Wednesday. Nick also has practice on Saturday at the same time as Aiden and Sky....thank God for swim practice. It's fun, it's healthy and it's nice to get in the water when it's snowing outside!
He's home from swim practice and happy to spend some time outdoors before lunch.

kindergarten valentines party
The kids had a feast...thanks to us Moms...we arrived at their class while they were in recess. We decorated, set the tables, put out crafts, games, and started the music.

So I went to the Roanoke Times today to put Meghan & Tony's engagement photo in. (Go on line and look at the Sunday Feb. 19th edition of Celebrations) After Liz proofed my copy I asked her to show me the size the photo would actually be in the newspaper. She moved things around on her desk and under the glass was a sample page. She said...
It'll be this size. See this cute little guy with the blue eye and the blue outfit? This is the size. As a matter of fact we chose this as a sample because so many people give us tiny photos that don't print well, or the baby has closed eyes. We suggest to them to get a shot like this for publication.
Do you pay royalties to that little boy seeing that you use his face all the time?
We should!
I'll start collecting right now.

preparing for another belt test
The forms are very complicated now that he's at level three and very close to black belt. Aiden is working hard to earn his stripes...he needs only one more stripe to qualify for the upcoming belt test. He's putting in the effort so please keep your fingers crossed for him.
He's decided after black belt he wants to pursue fencing...yup, fencing. Yikes! That's in addition to his soccer, basketball, and swimming.

Sky has soccer practice right after school at 3 pm on Tuesdays with about 8 of her classmates.
Coach Jen says Sky is a natural.
